Kirby vacuums are the best

Hi! I was wondering if I can convert my Kirby Heritage 1 with the Sani-emptor & style 2 bag assembly back to the shakeout style assembly by removing the fill tube for the paper bag, would this work as a shakeout bag even though the cloth bag still has the full zipper?

Looks like a nice mall on the inside. I dig those inline stores that have entrances in the mall corridor and also doors outside. A great example of another mall in good shape that could easily be converted to apartments… but that won’t happen..😢

Love the old Hoover's I'm working on getting my 2004 Wintunnel cleaned serviced and repaired it needs a new power switch it's stuck on so for now I've just been plugging it in my surge box and turning it off and on that way other than that it works good and has a crap ton of suction at the hose!

Great to see that back up and running again (sounding nice and quieter with the 20 blade fan), I wouldn't want to see it go to waste or even get parted out. I really love the powder blue color to this, there were only a few more Elites in that color that I know of. I have the same model, since it was a vacuum I grew up with from childhood (also that one is about half a year older than mine), but what I would really love to find is the Convertible Elite in this exact same blue color. I also find it very hilarious that this (among many other select year Elites from 95, maybe 94) has the provision for a handle mounted power switch (it was probably originally for a Legacy), but for whatever reason they needed to rush these out the door, but already had the handles made, so they threw it on some Elites from around 1995 and capped off the switch provision up top, so at least you've got a rare switch blank model of Elite.

Agreed, the red accent pieces are a nice change of pace, & the 50’ cord is more useful than I expected. Maybe the red accents are similar to the G6 2000 & 2001 Limited Edition runs? Regardless it just plain fun.

That's in very good condition, and it sounds good too. It's honestly sad that maintenance is such a foreign concept to people, like changing the belt and changing the bag, or even cleaning out the filters on a vacuum if equipped. Instead of replacing those very items and having the vacuum last them a good few indefinite number of years, they'd rather throw it out to buy some newfangled vacuum to abuse it the same way, and then throw that away once it stops working the way it did when it was new.
